It has been developed by researchers and students at the Data Management Systems Laboratory (DMSL), Department of Computer Science, at the University of Cyprus.
Rayzit won an award by Appcampus.fi , a mobile application accelerator program funded by Nokia and Microsoft, which lead to the development of the Windows 8 Phone client. Subsequently it has been featured as a spotlight application and also ranked in the top 5 apps list of the AppCampus program by the official Windows Phone Blog (USA).
It has also been featured in several other online tech sites and blogs in multiple languages. It has an active community with thousands of downloads.
